Who Are We?
This is an online literary and arts magazine that covers the underbelly of the subjects that intrigue our works. Established in 2007 as a blog, we have grown into its current incarnation, having released several chapbooks as well as organized readings, exhibitions, and the like.
THE WHISKEY DREGS was founded on the belief that change in social philosophy begins at the bottom rung of society and is reflected in the mood of our culture. The world changes the work of the artist and thus the artist changes the world. Although we don’t entertain the possibility of any serious alteration of anything, we record within this online art history book, our response to these changes. In our civilized Dark Age, there is no other recourse.
Our art is dark because the world is dark. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
