Good Rester, a dance-ambient collective of visual artists, send their EP off into webland. This six song debut is a symphony of samples, gentle melodies, and gut-diving beat that sinks the bass deep into ya’. This moody delivery of ambient dance beats is a collaboration of producer/artist Fognode (aka Brian Sikind) and Nashville-raised visual artist/musician Andy Alexander Karen Y Chan provides vocal support throughout the EP.

This six song collection is worth checking out. Letting yourself get lost in the intricate layers of music is good for those who are hankering for tunes that will let their mind float, while still tapping your foot on the ground. Unfortunately, this is not a touring band so the only chance you have to listen to them is on Good Rester’s site.

Ellen Donbeck, of The Whiskey Dregs, previously wrote an article about Andy Alexander here

Purchase the EP for a suggested donation of $7.77 here

“The rapid pace of technology and pop culture is the source of
inspiration for me as an artist trained in anthropology. My
fascination with people drive me to make art that reveals the effect
of memory and dreaming. Emotions and associations are my ‘paint’ and
likeness, I allow the work to decide how the story will be told again
each time.”
