Like of the Week: Kenneth Cole Taking a Stand to Aid the Oil Problem in the Gulf

Save the Gulf in Style

Save the Gulf in Style

Hopefully this will start a chain reaction and other clothing companies will follow suit on this one.

Right now Kenneth Cole has introduced their very own line of custom made t-shirts like these ones shown  in an effort to raise money and garner support for the tragically massive oil leak in the Gulf.

There are a dozen phrases to choose from and 169 color combinations available. Every cent goes towards raising money in an effort to clean up the oil spill that has left our beautiful ocean in such disrepair.

Right now you can purchase your very own when you visit their t-shirt store through Facebook by clicking here. With over a hundred options and styles to choose from, you can do your part and look stylishly fabulous while doing so!

Dislike of the Week: Clogs (‘nuff said)

Clogs

Clogs

Okay, I know that they are supposed to be “coming back” for the summer and are one of the new “in” looks as far as trends go, but really stop and think about this one. Have you ever, ever seen anyone really “rock out” a pair of clogs?

When I look at them, all I can see is a shoe that is better reserved for Dutch milkmaids. They are clunky, stocky, heavy and slightly reminiscent of Crocs (the possibly even uglier cousin of clogs) and have absolutely no redeeming qualities as far as I’m concerned in the world of fashion.

I’ve heard people rave about their comfort and the new wave of stylish colors in every shade of the rainbow – I’m not buying it.

In all honesty, if there is anyone out there who feels that this is the shoe that’s going to stop traffic and make all the boys and girls holler, then you’re either over the age of sixty-five or some part of society has failed you, my friend.  Let me leave you with this thought. Imagine the sexiest person you have ever laid eyes on in your entire life. Now imagine them wearing clogs. The appeal is gone…isn’t it?

I thought so.
